changing my mind

I have to revise my opinion of Three Dollars. (See two posts previous.) It has grown on me and I am really quite fond of the characters now. Apologies to the author for the denigrations! However, I still think it took a long time to get into it, and I'm still not sure how to get a handle on what it really is about.

I have to revise my knitting habits too. I've been knitting madly and now have RSI down my left arm when I do. Rats.

What sort of knitting needles are you using Cecily? If you are using metal ones throw them away - they are too stiff - you need something more flexible with more give, such as plastic - tortoiseshell are the best, but you can't buy them anymore as they are politically incorrect, though you can occasionally pick some up in secondhand stores. Hope that eases the sore arms!

Thanks Prue. The ones I've been using recently are a set of bamboo size 5 dpn - making a hat, which is quite big and bulky to hold. I didn't have any problems with the socks I knitted on plastic dpn size 1 or so, so perhaps I'll have to go back to making something smaller.
