I've had two rejections from publishers for my 'friendship' book in one week. Which is kind of deflating. I have two more irons in the fire at the moment, and then I'm going to have to look at self-publishing and promotion.
Woe.

... I seem to remember you spoke to someone before you wrote it who was interested? is that iron still in the fire? because that sounded promising.
The original 'very very interested' publisher, who said, "this will really fit into our new focus on youth ministry resources" and for whom I finished off the whole thing, tweaked the focus and added discussion questions is now no longer interested. In fact, apparently "It does not fit into our new focus on youth ministry resources."
Ah well.
So right now I'm submitting to an american and an australian publisher. Frankly it would be a miracle to be accepted by the american one, so I really only have one iron in the fire.
I'm sorry its been so discouraging for you. Have you learnt anything from the writing of the book itself? If so, at least that's a bonus! Sorry, I'm feeling a bit Pollyanna-ish today!
